CATRYN

This blog will be an account of our attempt to sail CATRYN though the Northwest Passage, from East to West, during the summer of 2014. We plan to set out from Aberdyfi, West Wales about 15 June and hope to arrive at the Aleutian Islands in the North Pacific in October. The blog will also show our position on a Google Earth map and we will sometimes include photos.

But first we have the CELTIC CHALLENGE! This is a rowing race across the Irish Sea from Arklow (Ireland) to Aberystwyth (Wales), a distance of about 90 nautical miles. CATRYN will be the support vessel for Aberdyfi Rowing Club. The race starts on Sat 3 May.

These blog entries will be followed by a version in Welsh for my friends who would prefer to read about our trip in their own language.
