Having spent some days back in England for Coco’s Christening,
I returned to Hyères alone to move Carnago to Saint Mandrier sur Mer.
SINGLE HANDED - I prepared everything - fenders, mooring ropes, safety kedge anchor in case of engine failure, radio frequencies =, telephone number - I got Sonja from Amel to telephone ST Mandrier port and ask for help mooring. The i went - as soon as I rounded the Porquerolle gap the wind came round onto the port quarter so we sailed and all engines were off. And so it went on for an hour and a half and we were almost there. As I approached St Mandrier through the Grand entry to Toulon bay:
This guy almost ran me down - I dipped the white ensign in recognition that he weighed in at a little more than Carango - the Tricolour stayed aloft!

Then I entered one of the most beautiful little French fishing ports on the Côte Azure where we will be stationed for the next 6 weeks

The mooring was safely completed and thus ended my first singe handed passage.
