Complete with new crew but sad not to have Vicky on board - Carango departed Darwin with a Royal Australian Navy escort of Attack Submarine and accompanying Surface Warship.

  Willi was impressed.

Malcolm and the Skipper relaxed with a Gin and Tonic.

All was well with the World and we sailed the Timor Sea - there was little wind to write home about and we motor sailed most of the way. But had a good sail towards the destination of Lombok in Indonesia. We saw two pods of whales and lots of dolphins on this leg - the whales could have been more Pygmy Killer Whales but probably more likely Pilot Whales.

We have had to dodge several floating unmarked unlit obstacles the leg including floating cylinders and semi submerged containers.

Next stop Lombok.
