Having sailed North overnight, cutting inside Fitzroy Island, we arrived in good time in Cairns and checked into our pre-booked mooring spot in Marlin Marina.

Yet more fabulous Whale spotting en route - they are very impressive creatures if the word awesome applies to any living creature it is this one. They were Humpback whales again and very chilled out humpbacks at that - just cruising along blowing at each surface visit.

William and Serena persuaded us to try Crocodile skewer and Kangaroo steak for lunch - not good; in fact the worst lunch we have had so far since leaving the Mediterranean.

However things looked up when we saw this sign:

So we tried to book a core spotting jet ski trip only to be told we were too old for that type of activity.

So the boomerang shop was next up!
