Port Vila is the capital of Vanuatu on the island of Efate.  Vicky had a cocktail or two. We attended a tribal dance display ending in a mock execution for Andrew and Vicky. And the ancient ceremony for branding warriors as brave enough to fight - fire walking - here is the assistant treating the fire walkers feet with some chewed and spat plant coating for his feet - he then walks across about 25 feet of red hot stones in the she’s of a fire 4 times - he is then true warrior material. Also probably is useless due to burnt feet!! Peter Bigge, Vicky’s brother joined us in Port Vila we toured a very impressive tropical garden but stopped for gin and tonic and ……… Andrew found a tasty Chinese morsel amongst the tropical Ponds - She was in the river looking for river snakes! |
