We venture on in the Vanuatu group of 83 islands. The sailing has been good with plenty of wind and it is great having Andrew aboard as a knowledgeable sailor who needs no prompting or training and Di to add to the glamour on Carango. Great.

Here we are with the silly hats we were given in an emotional village gift exchange - we got the hats and lots of wonderful fresh fruit , very welcome. We gave them pickaxes, axes, machetes, spades, post borers, cooking pots, ladles, school books, footballs, crayons and much else - these people were hit by a Tropical Storm in May 2015 - much was destroyed and the rebuilding continues a pace.

The next island was Erramango. A good 12 hour sail which we enjoyed.
Watermeadows worthy of any Constable painting.

Andrew and I were lured by the chief to see the remains of some of the sailors in the lastWorld ARC. These people were cannibals until 1969 - astounding - we decided to be VERY polite to the chief and returned quite promptly to Carango and set sail fairly soon afterwards.
