George was skipper on this leg and controlled the whole crossing from start to anchor up and he did a brilliant job in sometimes rather difficult flukey winds and rolling seas and the odd squall for a very successful passage - well done George!

We made it - we have now anchored up outside the Royal SUVA Yacht Club to await our diplomatic clearance as a newly fledged nation outside the European Union. I hope we pass in tomorrow Monday 27th June 2016. It seems strange now to be writing ‘E’ after the longitude position as we are closer to Greenwich travelling West now. Are half way round? - yes more than half way if one thinks we started on this adventure in Turkey, just passed half way if one takes the origin as London but not quite half way if we started from St Lucia.

when one pushes ‘Take’ on our rather meagre camera it can take  second to actually open the shutter or whatever process it is - so it was a miracle that I pushed it spot on as we crossed. How about that?

Crossing the 180 just on the approach to Fiji.

Well done George - relaxed Dad
