The embera village was interesting. Though somewhat sad as they are not allowed to hunt and are just a tourist attraction - ghastly commercialisation.

Village girls greeting the visitorsRiccky broke under the strain!

We went on wildlife walks and saw fabulous butterflies and lots of monkeys high in the trees. There are jaguars, which prey on the monkeys, but of course we didn’t manage to spot one of those. The dawn walks were a real pleasure, cooler temperatures and clear air. We walked amongst what was a US military base with many disused buildings, overgrown with creepers and vegetation, spread out over a huge area - one could image jeeps full of GIs roaring up and down the tarmac roads, now cracked and criss-crossed by trails of leaf cutter ants busy carrying there loads into the jungle.
