It’s been a ball! A great little breeze since we left Tongatapu and I’ve excelled; 167 then 168 were my first 24hr runs, my best ever! I love a bit of competition so it was great that Ganesh set off at the same time as me. She’s bigger so I expected her to take the lead, but so far I’m in front and the gap has been growing.

There’s another thing, i recently found out that a load of sisters are competing in the Golden Globe race, what’s more most of them are doing incredibly well. I have to admit I’m a tiny weeny bit envious. But hey, we’ll get all the way around someday too and none of those boats can claim to have adopted sucker fish!

You might be wondering why I’ve taken over the blog (as well as all my other onerous responsibilities). Simple, neither of them has the stomach for it. Just a little bit of weather and they go to pieces, well I never.

Skipper made me giggle when he suggested Kath should just throw her food overboard and cut out the middle(wo)man. Mind you, he wasn’t much better himself - Mr Burpy. I did wonder whether the washing up would ever get done before we reached New Zealand.

It’s looking like the wind is going light over the next few days so you might hear from them.

Yours

Caramor
