With hurricane force winds I spent the afternoon babysitting Caramor in Victoria Dock. Kath joined me in the evening.
Apart form checking and adjusting mooring lines she was fine but we did save another boat whose mooring line (a piece of old tat) had snapped.
So as not to waste the time I worked on adapting the locker under the pilot berth. Caramor is going to have a new engine before we leave so we are fitting a calorifier to provide hot water from the engine's heat exchanger. This requires making strong points for the calorifier and expansion tank and a partition so that we can use the rest of the locker for storage.
The winds reached over 100 mph in parts of North wales. They were certainly up to 80 in Caernarfon. In fact Kath's dog Spotty was nearly blown into the sea, saved by a rugby tackle by Kath just short of the railings!
