Eager to catch the ebb tide we woke early. This process was aided by the roar of diesel engines and exhaust fumes from our fisherman neighbours. We all untangled ourselves from the shore lines and set off into Canal Jacaf.

The day was a fabulous contrast to yesterday. It was dry, sunny and there was a decent wind. Not perfect I’ll grant you in that it was a headwind and varied from 5 to 25 knots. Nonetheless we sailed for 20NM and anchored off a beautiful sandy beach appropriately named Playa Bonita.

Approaching Playa Bonita

As soon as we had tidied up on deck we went for a walk and even did some sunbathing in an out of the breeze sun trap.
