Title: Rain!

47:46.68S 73:59.85W

The Armada issued a severe weather warning. Very windy out in the ocean but still light winds for the inland waterways that we are currently on. We had a last minute shop to stock up on fresh fruit and it turned out that the shopkeeper was the sister in law of the people we befriended in Puerto Edén. As we set off at midday we said goodbye to a Chilean yacht called ‘Juai Not’, the first south-bound yacht we have seen on the trip.

After 22NM of motoring in a light variable wind and light rain we eventually anchored and tied off to shore in Puerto Bordali. I say eventually because we had to explore a little to find the right place as the charts for this area are wildly inaccurate. The Italian guide (translated into English) is uncharacteristically inaccurate too. It says this is a good watering place and I can only conclude that the trickle that is flowing down a nearby cliff was a torrent when they were here! I rowed over a mile searching for a stream and took over half an hour to gather 10 litres of water from the nearby trickle!

So tomorrow we will stop off at an anchorage that is used by bigger ships to take on water and then move on to a smaller place that is more sheltered for the night.
