Wheyhey, the butter’s melting; and as well as making it easier to spread tells us it’s time to go west.  Columbus did the same thing. He found out that olive oil didn’t really work so he took butter with him to help with the navigation. Statues to Columbus have been erected all over the world in honour of this discovery.  Other aids to navigation can be drifting coconuts, see which way they’re going, head in the opposite direction and you’re bound to reach an idyllic desert island eventually.  Look out for passing reed boats and ask for a tow if you can speak Danish or Swedish whatever, possibly Norwegian. Migrating ‘seniors’ heading for Florida for the winter in large flocks can be a useful guide too as they are easy to spot with their gaudy plumage.  Sat nav comes in handy too.

We were a little bit worried about our water consumption so we’re now being more careful and bathing by being dragged behind the boat on a rope, no cleaning teeth unless we use sea water and if anyone sweats they’re fined £20.00. We have a few (hmm) bottles of gin, wine and beer on board so if we run out of water will have to resort to drinking these.

Yesterday’s monster fish is going into the Thai fish curry for supper tonight.  Friday night is film night, film to be decided.  Thanks for all the emails.  Good to know were being followed so we’ll keep letting you all know what we’re up to.
