Candida safely in Fowey

This has been a tough start to the voyage with the
boat battling headwinds from the outset and deciding to overnight en route
in Weymouth.
Candida experienced wind right on the nose
yesterday 27 August for the rest of the passage, requiring her to motor directly
into a 15 knot wind for much of the journey to Fowey, which was reached at
1000pm last night Wednesday 27 August.
A few deck leaks will need attention, and the crew
is currently assessing the forecast before deciding whether to depart Fowey
later today Thursday 28th or whether they should overnight in Fowey for a
much-needed rest.
Joining Candida in Fowey will be Jess Tyson, along
with Ann Hinton, David Fox and Roger Granger who are already on board, for the
next leg to La Coruna, northern Spain.
