Sunday 2 November. Weather 14C, overcast.
A quiet day for the team when we systematically
go through the boat checking sails, fixing niggling
problems and generally doing the final shakedown for the voyage.

Steve L narrowly avoids amputation after yesterday's savaging by
marina mullett, (See report 1 Nov). He is treated by nursey christine
and the crew are forced to endure steve's bare legs for the rest of the day.

We plan to leave tomorrow about midday for Lanzarote,
approx. passage time 5-7 days.
During this period we hope to post our position and condition once a day
but photographs may be more difficult to put on the site
and will follow when we reach a broadband connection on land.
Off now to sample one of Cascais' fine eating establishments.
Tomorrow we migrate south to hopefully warmer weather.
