Our last night before landfall with myself on the dawn watch.
Making good speed as we approach the shallower water around Antigua. What a difference weve gone from 5 k under the keel to 50 m and hence the sea state getting high.
Pulled in a cracking blue fin tuna at dusk so tuna and chopped chili was back on the menu.
Squally night with up to 40 kt gusts was handled well by the crew.
Final approach was much anticipated although we could see the glow of the lights from the island hours before any actual sighting of land.
Then there it was the fabled Island of Antigua,a strange sight for 4 men who hadn't seen any land for 3 weeks.
The approach to English harbour was easy and even managed to anchor off the beach for a quick swim before clearing customs.

The End

Love to all
