The weather continued to upset the program with a stiff north easterly breeze putting off the plan to visit the Isla Salvora.  The upside was that we had an excellent sail up into the Ria de Arosa to Puebla del Caramiñal.

The marina was “in kit form” undergoing some form of upgrade in anticipation of a racing fleet arriving the following day.  Most of the visitors’ berths were unavailable as divers were laying lazy lines.  We found a berth on the outside of what was intended to be a wave break with a boat rafted alongside.

A good meal was had ashore in the company of Martin and Vivienne Thomas.  The night was a different matter and the skipper had very little sleep watching our pride and joy bouncing up and down against the pontoon on one side and Cormack McHenry’s Island Packet. “Island Life”, on the other.  Daylight came late with no damage done other than to nerves.
