After six days anchored at Ascension Island and with our genoa repaired by hand, by ourselves, we freed our anchor without problems and made our way passed the anchored supply ship, Harland Point and set a course to cross the equator 1t 00N 30W.

The supply ship Hartland Point anchored in front of Jamestown.  The cloud shrouded peak of Green Mountain and left and right two of the more recent perfect volcanic cones.

The wind shadow lasted out to 10nm and then the wind set in with just enough force to give us 5 knots under poled out genoa.  Our first leg to the equator is 795nm.
