(There has been a long delay in getting these entries posted – apologies but we have been rather busy)

We certainly found the current again, it giving us an additional 26 miles in the 13 hours today.  The arrival in East London was not difficult.  The duty port control officer, who had expected a quiet Sunday was amazed as yacht after yacht called in requesting permission to enter.  The early yachts were told to anchor well clear of the car loading dock, later arrivals just got told to anchor but they would have to move before a ship arrived.  This was not a problem as the ship was not due until noon on Tuesday by which time the forecast south westerly should have blown through allowing us to leave.

Several the boat crews were quickly ashore and found a fish restaurant further upstream.  As often happens after a passage, due to being only double handed, sleep won over sociability.
