From Phi Phi Li we head north back into Phang Nga Bay and the island of Ko Phanak to anchor in the lee for two nights before heading back into the Phuket Yacht Haven.  On the way we stuck our head into Ton Sai Bay, Phi Phi Don, to see how it looked 12 years after the Tsunami.

All boats lead to Phi Phi Don – and that was only those with AIS transponders

Ton Sai Bay looking rather different from when we last saw it on 27 December 2004

We spent a very pleasant day anchored off Ko Phanak even if our attempts to get into the hong were unsuccessful due at the first attempt the tide being too high for the dinghy and on the second the current flowing out being too strong to paddle against.  The canoe tours manage it with the aid of local boat men doing the paddling
