Arrived at Kramat Island, off NW Sumbawa, Indonesia

Whilst the anchorage at Kramat Island off NW Sumbawa is not in the pilot book it is obviously a popular and regularly used spot for cruisers and we had the advantage of a waypoint and a downloaded Google Earth overlay for our PC based chart. The overlays are very useful where the chart does not marry up with the ground, a regular occurrence Indonesia where many of the charts are based on surveys dating back to 1904.

We fetched up in a most beautiful bay at 1415 and looked forward to a quiet afternoon and night.

The anchorage at Kramat Island sheltered by a large reef and the island itself
