The title of today's entry is written with the benefit of hindsight as
written 30 hours after the event it appears to have been the best days
sailing that we will get on this Leg.

Getting away from the immediate environs of Panama was interesting as we had
to thread our way through the fleet of ships at anchor waiting for their
turn at transiting the Canal or a berth at Bilboa to offload their cargoes
for training to Colon and reloading on other ships.

Once past that we settled down for our first night very aware that we were
definitely the last to leave Panama.
