Having finished our Christmas and New Year holiday cruise with Andrew we
waved goodbye to him on Tuesday as he left the marina at Emerald Bay, Great
Exuma, Bahamas to go to George Town airport for the first leg of his return
to Austin, Texas. The boat seemed empty without his larger than life
presence.

We had worked hard for the last day getting everything ready and taking
advantage of the marinas free laundry to ensure that we left with everything
ship shape and clean. Andrew's departure, however, coincided with the wind
increasing from10 knots to 30 knots and blowing directly into the entrance
channel. Whilst we were ready and eager to get going prudence dictated that
we took the day off to recover from the social exertions of the last three
weeks and wait for the wind to both abate a little and blow from a different
direction.

Wednesday dawned with the wind back in the customary south east and blowing
its usual 15-20 knots. Fully fuelled were ready to leave at 10:25.
