Les Sables D'Olonne

We arrived on Tuesday 31st at 2000 hs.

We were given a good berth and we spent the next 3 days in this port.
What a great atmosphere! Is all about boats and their industry. This is home base for Jenneau(the main  French boat builder)
Our pontoon berth was in the middle of all new Jenneau commissioning ones! What a feast of new yachts/Cats.

On the way here we caught our second tuna, just a a bit smaller than the 1st catch.
We have been eating tuna for 2 days now . Today have just finished our first beef  stakes.

This town is very pretty.  There are nice shops/cafes/ and the beach area is just amazing. We have been told that the more south you go the better they get. The sand looks like gold andy with unlimited blue sea view, what else can you ask for?

Miriam and the children went yesterday and today to the beach. I had to stay working , replying messages and getting in touch with people. Weather is fine, blue skies ,temps in mid 20s.

Tonight we will go to the Circus ,certainly cheaper than Casino( no details please).

There is such excitement about it! Last year we whereby Easter in Munich  and we had the chance to witness one of the two biggest world Circus. I still remember John's awed face!!!!

Plan is to setoff at 0600 hs tomorrow heading to Port Medoc, Bordeaux Region. Lets'see if it happens….

We need to be by Sunday latest Monday in North Spain as we have to be in Faro by Aug 17th, Ian and Bev will be waiting there.

Here below you can see Alexander trying to get a clue on what our next destination would be…He has been a top boy, enjoying sailing time and being very confi. No one so far has been sea sick.

John very happy on train journey back to Lorient.
Karen on her fishing day.
