Hi all this is a copy of a blog that was never received in January.

Hi all

After an extended stay in st Lucia Mark and I left Rodney bay to pick up our third crew member in the south of the island before setting off to the Grenadines. On the way down we anchored off a very pretty fishing village called Labourie. Mark had never really tasted fresh lobster so we sought out the local man and bought two live crayfish for thirteen pounds. The challenge was getting them into the pots. They were not happy!

But we triumphed and mark was very impressed.

Our sail down south has now included Bequia and Mustique. Mustique is the best yet. It’s like a stately home garden but in the Caribbean with beautiful beaches and so clean and tidy. But very expensive.thats why the rich and famous come here. The locals are very friendly everywhere and very religious but never the less have a great sense of humor (see picture of humping tortoises)

We are now in Union island which is the furthest island south for us to visit. It’s another lovely island (I’m beginning to run out of superlatives). We stopped off here to get our outboard fixed but it needs a spare part from the UK so it’s down to rowing around. Should keep us fit.

Tomorrow (Friday 22nd) we return north to Martinique but will spend two days in Tobago Cays swimming with the turtles.

Look out for my next blog on briansnail {CHANGE TO AT} mailasail {DOT} com for pictures of the turtles.

All the very best to everyone.

Brian
