The wind is calm, we are on a broad reach, the colorful spinnaker is out, Dylan's colorful lyrics are playing, the sky and water are painted blue, our books are being read, and the line is cast. We are 500 nautical miles from land in all directions. Days like this cannot be bought and they cannot be made. Instead, they surface unannounced, like an old friend, and we can do nothing but enjoy them thoroughly.

Yesterday we were faced with the difficult decision: Bermuda to the left, Bahamas to the right, and the USVI's ahead... We carry on southeast at 165 degrees. The stars were bight enough last night to burn away the lingering clouds and left us with a night full of stargazing and recounting the great stories painted across the sky. Marco finally figured out how to turn his flashlight off - a task that had kept him busy for more than a couple days. He also for the first time has relinquished control over the kitchen and will allow Isa to "experiment" for lunch this afternoon... Let's cross our fingers. Really, can Mahi Mahi ever not be delicious?
