Wed 24th June

Today we pottered down the coast for a few miles and anchored in Portimao.

Another productive day…

After completing some ‘office’ work and e-mailing it to the accountant, I finally got around to trying out Kevin’s bread pudding recipe, delicious, followed by some Spanish lessons in the afternoon.

Mark carried out lots of engine checks and then got out his book of knots and successfully learned a new technique for snubbing the anchor line for a quiet nights sleep.

Thursday 25th June

We took the dinghy ashore to the waterside village of Ferraguado and had lunch of sardines grilled on a charcoal brazier on the tiny quay followed by a walk along the cobbled alleys and the rugged coastline.

Tonight we are going to take the dinghy into the marina and walk into Praia de Rocha where we holidayed with Katie, Charlotte and Holly over 10 years ago.
