A bit of a blow

Although the weather forecast was only predicting around 25knot winds the sea was very chopped up and so we stayed another night at Sami.
It was convenient for Alison as she had a 4 hr conference call in the afternoon to participate in her first board meeting as CEO.
As for Mark, Ashley and me we were very understanding and gave her some peace by evacuating to the bar to watch the boats mooring whilst sipping G and T’s

We were very considerate but perhaps a bit optimistic about our capacity for gin drinking whilst keeping a (semi) clear mind.
It didn’t end well with me leaving my bag behind at the ice cream parlour around midnight.

It was no where to be seen the next morning ...
However we popped back to the ice cream parlour in the evening and the girl had put it by for me !
We gave them a big tip and walked away happy.

We walked on along the bay and had a lovely dinner under the eucalyptus trees to celebrate Alison and Ashleys’ 32nd anniversary.

As the rest of the family quickly pointed out - ‘congratulations guys and well done Ashley’

This morning Mark helped Curlew to fit a new curling line and then we set off for the Island of Ithaca.

We have anchored in a beautiful deserted bay near Vathi.

After a refreshing swim to the stony beach we are now sampling Lee Moore’s beer that he had shipped out for us to try.
