A very quiet night motor sailing, the wind has filled in now
and we are gliding along at 6 knots, just South of the Canary
Islands.
The crew are settling in to the watch system and all is well
on board.
We had a pod of dolphins join us this morning and we also
saw marlin jumping and twisting out of the water – they were very big and
we were quite glad that we didn’t hook one !
‘Roundabout’ however did hook one and spent 45
mins chasing a 3 metre marlin which had taken all their line, unfortunately it
was another one that got away.
Food is a big highlight of our day….
We enjoyed a wonderful Victoria sponge yesterday, hand baked by
Sandie and transported by Malc to Lanzarote, and today we are going to sample Sandie’s
fruit cake.
Toad in the hole for dinner tonight.
Thank you everyone for all your kind wishes for a safe trip –
it is so good to receive messages from home.
