After a very enjoyable stay in Carriacou we made our way down to Grenada, only a short hop of about 26 miles , and the wind was just right for an excellent sail , we just had to keep any eye on the charts as we had to avoid sailing over the top of an active underwater volcano, which had en exclusion zone around it ,

we came into St Gorges harbour and dropped anchor , very pretty , quite colonial looking , with lovely buildings , we explored the town , there was even a shopping mall .... but more importantly a sports bar ..called the Creole Shack.. so were were able to watch the rugby and have a lovely lunch at the same time ,

we were told by some other yachties that down the coast in hog island there is a sunday bbq on the beach and not to miss it , so we headed off , we had to pass very close to a lot of reefs which we were very nervous about but we had better get used to this fast as the whole area is just one big reef , we dropped anchor in a lovely cove and there was a deserted shack on the beach ..thats all...by 3 pm the beach was full , the chicken was grilling and the very jolly band was caterwalling , it was great fun....

this is a very unspoilt and undeveloped place with lots of charm , and we are enjoying it immensly and exploring further ...
