Wind at last and we are back to living at an angle.  With the diesel supplies dwindling and still 300 + miles to go we were looking at a very slow end to this leg.  Weather charts showed a finger of wind extending south of a low pressure system to our north but as we motored forwards we seemed to just keep one step ahead of it.  Finally the wind filled in yesterday afternoon and we got going again under sail in a flat sea.  It held out overnight at a gentle 7 knots so very peaceful and lots of wildlife - huge schools of porpoises seen feeding with fish jumping ahead of them, 2 fin whales passed close by and the usual 'P' at night.   Two encounters with ships overnight is further reassurance of nearing land but it is still likely to be two to three days before we land on Horta.
Chess now forms the entertainment for the day, Alastair valliantly taking on the elders and sometimes winning!  Grey skies and occasional drizzle and no more jobs to do on the boat.
