With a light SW wind we knew we would have to motor today. But another first: Faith spent much of the day in a T shirt, and I sailed the whole day in shorts. The coastline was 30 miles more of beautiful sandy beach, then finally cliffs. Nazare is an extraordinary harbour. A submarine gorge means depths of more than 100 metres just a few metres from the shore. No anchoring then. It is a small but very serious fishing port which grudgingly allows a few yachts to berth. The English harbour master lives aboard his ship here, a mine of sailing knowledge. Tomorrow probably anchoring by offshore islands so maybe no blog until Cascais. T
