Arrived at 2200 last night after 15 hours in which we completed our longest day's passage of 82 miles. Similar to the day before, in not enough wind to do without motor in the morning, then a glorious fast run in the afternoon before the wind dropped and we motor sailed the last two hours. A clear sky all day, then whips of cloud to turn golden and then burn up in a red sunset, as the sun squashed itself on to the horizon, and finally winked at us over the Atlantic swell. The moon was up, and we motored up the trail of moonlight into Figuero harbour under the sweeping flash of the lighthouse high on Cape Mondego. A well lit entrance, a bustling commercial fishing harbour, and a well appointed yacht basin. Fell asleep as we ate, and barely made it to bed.

Looking forward to a shorter run today, to Nazare. On target for Lisbon on Friday.
