Another day of little wind. We tried hard to find it but gave in to motoring, north up the eastern coast, again.

Eight hours and thirty something miles later we are in a marina at this place of red sandstone (Paul?) formed into pinnacles and crags stretching from water's edge up into the hills behind.

It's mainly a commercial port - makes oil rigs and plywood for shipping out - but is also becoming a Porto Turistico for visiting boats like us. It seems to be a place to try to get our depth sounder fixed, find some ice and groceries but also it's a town from which a railway winds up through the mountains into Sardinia's interior, so we think we'll take a day trip. As usual there's a spectacular beach and if these days of heat continue we could be swimming at last too.
