I make no apologies that I have dedicated a page to Julie Shaw (nee Attwood).

We trained together from October 1978 at The Medway School of Nursing gaining our S.R.N. in 1981.
We were the Famous Four. Julie Attwood, Amanda Ball, Carolyn Burrows and Theresa Walters.

.

Julie was taken from us just ten days after her marriage to the very wonderful Andy.

I have never seen anyone look so poorly, yet, so in love and contented.

Being Julie meant she fought her fatigue to sing a couple of songs with her band "LOOSE ENDS"

Julie had only missed two sessions with the boys, John and John we wish you all the best.

Brave as she was she introduced us to her replacement, good luck.

To Carolyn, an absolute rock throughout, you know how I feel in the gratitude I express here.

Andy, you gave Julie your love, your name and enormous happiness. Thank you.

Bear was very proud to have met Julie, he was stunned by her courage.

I am so glad I was able to see you so very, very happy, all my love always.

We have been gathering chalk, crayons and pencils to give to the schools on the islands we visit - it will be done in your memory.

JULIE SHAW left us on our wedding Anniversary 21ST MAY 2008 - aged 47
