We found the zoo without a hitch, paid our entry, walking toward the aviary we saw this girl getting a drink.

There were various cages with a good selection of birds, including a pair of Condor, but I'll blog them from Peru in September. Duck "Am I gorgeous" "No, but I am" said the Buitre Rey

The walk in aviary soon gave us a laugh with this chap wandering along with his new friend. The little girl just loved the parrots.

"Every feather has got to be preened" " I just have a good shake"

A lovely face watching his friend happily building a nest above the light fitting

Finally, I got the picture I wanted - a chap in flight

We left the aviary to wander on, we had an ice-cream each and chatted to the American stall holder who wanted to talk about boxing, moving on Bear called Quick, Quick

I certainly didn't expect this - but it may become my screen saver.

A better angle on his dignity. Soundo in the mid-day heat.

This stunning Bengal tiger watching over his sleeping wife

Another sleeping beauty, but these camels were happy to eat the carrots the public paid a dollar for

Bear did really well with his tortoise whispering and it worked on the zebra too

We were amazed at the root system on this tree. Bear did a bit of iguana whispering

A very pretty young giraffe. The guard armed and ready

"Can we talk". The rhino was quite happy with the visiting iguanas and pigeons

After surveying her world from the back of the hippo, it was time for a good bath, coming up complete with a new sombrero

We had another wander round the aviary, then entered the creepy crawlies - horribly loud with sound effects and kids squealing and shouting - quick exit

A photo of a butterfly and one of Bear trying to picture a butterfly and what do we see................

A Thread-Bare Bear. I almost look like a monk. "It wont be long until a full tonsure, my love". MMmmm
