We woke tired after travelling back from China but Bear lead the charge, preparing  to reattach the stern platform. I sorted, sewed and kept out of mischief.

I not only got to assist but got prime position inside the back lazarette. I was the nut holder, do stop tittering........One day the stern platform, the next the upper platform and the next Beez stinger (the Hydrovane), she really is coming together now. Still a long list for when we get back from the UK at the end of September.

One sadness this week was finally deciding to give up on my beloved, very soft boiled eggs. I can get away with hard boiled but runny Aunt Ett’s have had to come to an end. I don’t mind as I prefer the firmer sort. Bless. We can still enjoy egg events but they will probably be appreciated in the saucepan.

31st May 2018. The week has flown by. This morning we jumped up, cleaned the fridge, made Bear’s sandwiches, tidied and vacuumed, hair and beard trim and showers. Taxi arrived and we said farewell to a girl who is looking shinier and more like herself.

On the two o’clock bus to KL which seemed to go on its own course, very different to the norm and it was gone seven before we arrived at the airport. The rainy season arrived with teeth two weeks ago. We have had thunder, lightning and heavy rain each day. Easy through airport stuff and there we were sitting on a brand new aeroplane, still raining.

A nearly full flight on an A350-900, but not as big as the girl we had to wait in line behind before take off.

Quite amusing as we took off, it looked as if we were going the wrong way, until we bumped through the clouds. On each bulkhead were quite big screens that kept flashing through the flight information, quite bright........and wearing when the overnight flight was dark and quiet save for the flashing.

10,615 kilometres in thirteen hours, settled above the clouds and we knew which direction Mecca was.

This morning, on the left a full moon, tiny but full. On the right, a bright sunrise.

Twenty seven hours after leaving Beez we were settled in our digs at Gatwick North. We are flying to Antigua on the morrow for a proper holiday before our three month visit to family and friends.

ALL IN ALL VERY EXCITED TO BE GOING ON HOLIDAY
A VERY BUSY AND SUCCESSFUL WEEK
