We arrived at this ruined complex with lots of small pagodas and went in search of the main building. This is the first time we found no information board, nothing on the internet and in fact many tourists pass by. For hundreds of years monasteries, palaces and important buildings had been built using teak, this complex was one of the first to have been constructed in brick in the area.

We passed a throne, impressed at the neat flooring.

Most of the outside wall was intact and the umbrella on this outer pagoda twinkled in almost defiance.

Buddha sits exposed to the elements and very weathered.

Unsupported, reinforced or cared for. How many more earthquakes will it survive.

In one of the smaller pagodas we found a happier, more sheltered Buddha, a pretty entrance shape.

One final look, pleased we had visited and then back to our horse and cart.
