A little more tidying and Bear suggested lunch out before we move just fourteen miles. Settled with a pint he chose wings and wedges, I had nuggets and chips – how very Malaysian indeed. Ruminating, we both decided we were pleased to have travelled through Indonesia but are so very pleased to be in a country where anything is possible with so much more ease, parcels, bits, language, friendly and gentle people who bend over backward to help. We like it here very much and look forward to bring Beez back for her long and well deserved rest.

Pangkor Marina, very empty now the rally boats have moved on. (Beez in the middle).

At three o’clock we left after the ferry, looking back toward Marina Island.

Out of the marina and straight across to the channel.

Then we turned right and headed toward the promontory on the right.

On our return we will jump on the ferry (two pounds return....) to explore Pangkor Island. Apparently there are lovely beaches, granite boulders and lots of huge fishing based villages.

Next, we had to cross to the North Channel and follow the main coast to Pulau Talang.

We didn’t see the men picking much out of their net.

Along the coast, we saw nice sandy beaches, an electric power station and a quarry. A storm brewing.

Bear had put a marker randomly on the island and that’s where we anchored – not far from the island ‘wall’. We settled to a game of backgammon and I won easily. Huh. We played some Tri-ominoes and I kept winning. Double huh, it’s time to settle to a history episode or two. Better start with the Aztecs then.............Lightning was impressive with a bit of rain and a gentle sunset.
