To Lengkuas Island
We arrive on the beach just before
nine and enjoy the parked girls while we wait for our
skipper.
Sail Indonesia
yachts anchored behind Bear are joined by three from Sail 2 Indonesia
rally (Beez Neez, Brahminy Too and Coomera), so
welcoming to us.
Nine o’clock becomes
busy.
We back out
in our trusty steed and laugh at her coolant system.
We get to see the
parked girls from the other side and the purpose built
auditorium.
We head out toward one of the many little islands.
Being the weekend there are many local
tourists out and about enjoying stunning sandy
beaches.
Simply lovely to see all the granite boulders.
A shot of the corner of our bay –
Kelayang.
Round the bend a ‘one careful owner’.
Onward out
toward Lengkuas Island, to visit the lighthouse. Nature’s
simple beauty.
A bit of a water
highway.
Waving
enthusiastically, such lovely people as a local girl passes.
We like our homemade ladder arrangement as a
smaller girl gets closer to an island than we can.
Away to our left more pointed granite boulders.
We laugh with the skipper as he has to
zig-zag around a pot marker and another full tour boat.
A popular snorkel
spot, we hope to visit after the lighthouse.
Our first look at Lengkuas Island Lighthouse.
These fishermen had just caught a tiddler.
An impressive
sight.
The path in through the
hard coral reef.
Safely dropped ashore and ready to explore the lighthouse.
ALL IN ALL SUCH A BEAUTIFUL,
UNSPOILT AREA
