A Day of Chores and a
Wonderful Surprise
   The day began with a stripper – well
Bear was stripping a wire at least. When Bear had put the AIS in he took advice
and shared the mast-head aerial with the radio through a fancy splitter. The
radio has never been pleased with that arrangement. Today the skipper fitted one
to itself, no more sharing. A few contortions but mainly on his back, don’t ask
what the umbrella was for I didn’t...... Still he came up smiling. I left at the
language uttered about sending the mouse to lead the wire. I busied myself with
tin audits, list making, and a chunk of birthday cards with Moonpig (always
makes me swear). How can ordering a few cards take an hour and a half so when
Bear asks what have you been up to my yield
looks like zero.....
 Meanwhile, himself
is near job end, just a screw left to do...................
   After winning with Moonpig I stripped
the line of gunk from around the bathroom sink. No matter how much we spend on
the ‘guaranteed never to lose its shiny white’ it always does and I so dislike
the sealant going dotted and skanky-looking. I had a mad idea whilst out
shopping – buy black gunk.........That won’t show black dots will it............
I got some great views as ‘himself’ applied the new
stuff. Does it look shocking – absolutely. Does it look awful – yep. Do I feel I
have made a small win – Yes.
After supper we settled to watch a
film. Ping, an email came with the title Surprise. What joy, delighted
to read Rod and Mary, dear friends from Sheer Tenacity not seen since Savu Savu
in Fiji, are to join the Indonesian Rally. Fantastic news.
