A visitor but none the more worthy of a good look. We bimbled around the various reptiles in the main zoo and their special house. Needless to say Bear trotted with purpose past the slitherers. The one that could swim had him feeling as I do when I see jellyfish, nice for a quick look and then.........

We chatted for ages with the keeper of the Komodo dragon, telling him we were on our way to the island to see them in the wild. The jolly and enthusiastic chap said that after four years this one ‘tolerated’ a pat on the head and they had a mutual respect for each other when it came to cleaning and feeding times. Rather him than either of us.

What would you do if I was under threat. What about the rest of the time. Rightee-oh, hope to put neither to the test when you look at the real thing.

We’ve decided that crocodiles are menacing and when we received a helpful email telling us not to be tempted to swim with them as they move a bit quick whilst licking their lips at the same time. Hands up, call us chickens and we’ll cluck....... The rest of the creatures we saw we simply enjoyed.
