A Very Windy Sunday

So, you’re minding your own business, at your morning ablutions, when you hear an alarmed quick, you spin round and a whirlwind drags your mop across your face and the wind pulls up a hair raising experience – you just wait........, I look like I’ve put my head in a demented candyfloss machine. Now this is the person who hates hair, especially touching the ‘boat race’. I have to admit that lately, whilst mowing the skippers head, the urge to whip the mower across the top of my own pate has been diminishing – just as well it wasn’t out of its stable and saddled up this morning...........
Now I’ve mentioned wind. We had a night in the powerful current here holding us at right angles to the wind. Swishing water noises and the odd spin on the spot with a bit of bounce in winds gusting thirty knots. Yesterday we looked out to loads of kite surfers, not a one today. Just one booze cruise with a few scantily clad ladies who didn’t seem to mind the soaking they were getting. Not a sign of the ice cream man all day, in fact very little movement anywhere. A few boats added to the handful already at anchor. We are all staying put – probably until Wednesday.

Windyty  Where are we

Did I mention wind......again. Once more the forecast is for solid wind, bar warnings and big seas. On the left is a wind map, we like to spuddle about or sail in green to orange, anything else is not really for us – considering the deep pink is the other side of the island we are tucked behind.....by the thumb tack. Things are set to settle by sometime Wednesday, guess we will stay put for now then. (Thank you to Windyty and Google for the images).

It seems our lovely sunsets are destined to be every other night. Tonight was a pinkish sky then lights out.
