After breakfast, Bear told me to cabbage patch yourself. No problem, only seventy four blogs behind, I put some washing in to soak and settled at the table to type a few....well, one and see how it goes.
The blue chores list was to change the water filter, tick, an easy job.
That done it was to the engine to change the impeller and both fuel filter systems to be changed and cleaned. I had a great view but after a while grey smoke rose along with several harsh, blue words ending in screw. The badly behaved, work-shy creature had bolted to the end of the field and the poor man couldn’t reach to put a tether on. After much effort he gave up. He rummaged in his tool shed and came out with a substitute with slightly the wrong thread but it just catches enough to hold. Mmm, something new to the list that seems to always have ‘items various’.
Washing rinsed and hanging out, it was time for a loaded cappuccino with lunch in the cockpit, Bear looked tired and strained. I suggested the rest of the day off and there was no argument from the boss. We played games until roast chicken dinner. We had run out of his favourite bread sauce ages ago. I personally see no difference between that gloopy business and wallpaper paste but hey........ anyway I had an idea, white sauce (plenty of that) and a crumbled slice of bread. I’ll do that while you make the gravy. A plan, I love it when a plan comes together. Well, apparently it worked, on tasting test, just a little salt and pepper for perfection. Praise indeed.

After last nights quite lovely sunset, tonight’s was a bit of a light on-light off. An early night was needed.
