We left a very overcast Albert Cove at nine fifteen in a fine drizzle, but as always, nothing dents the skippers smile.

We wiggled through the reef and soon in deep water, Scott-Free to our right.

We could see nothing of Nuku as we motor-sailed by.

Both safely through ‘the gate’ below Katherine Bay.

Taveuni Island to our right, we move from thirty to three hundred feet of water.

We made our way slowly into anchor near the airport at Naselesele Point.

Behind the reef, we can see one yacht in the anchorage.

To our left a tiny island that has great reef snorkelling.

Reef breaking at high tide to our left, we found a patch of sand in fifteen feet of water.

Taveuni has masses of coconut trees, at one time the island was one single plantation. Fish supper on Beez and we are all ready to explore tomorrow at eight. Chief Iowani has organised a driver to take us over the island.
