Oh to be a tourist. Colour co-ordination and fashion get thrown out of the window and its fine to go tramping in luminous pyjama bottoms. Yes dear. I best say nothing at this point. Ark at you Mr. Slim Jim Armani. Seriously though, I don’t want to get my welligogs dirty. Well put it this way, they sure ain’t going back in the hanging cupboard with my shirts. Anyhooo....

We found the sign opposite and began our first tramp of the day.

Well dear readers, this was the face I got when I asked Bear nicely to go and stand in the middle of the ferns to demonstrate there size. I don’t know about demonstration, I feel the need to go on strike. Wuss, there are no serious bitees, slitherings or bad bideys in New Zealand. No, but it’s wet and muddy, I’ve not got the footwear for it. Yeah, yeah, yeah......
