Approaching Horta
 
I put the radar on as one yacht had been following me for over ten hours, Pico in the distance, the chart plotter and Horta from outside the harbour.
 
I could follow the yacht on the radar from my bunk, whereas I could not see the AIS screen, a) being smaller b) the angle of mounting.
 
I read some of the other's blog just as bad as mine if not worse.
 
From the Azores onwards I was on my underpants and a T shirt. Far too hot to wear anything else. Too hot to cook at 6 or 7 pm BST, I had to eat cold meals like ham or sardines, items that did not need any heating.
