12 Aug we anchored at 17.29.45S, 149.51.14W. Just a
short hop round into the next bay. Water is clear and blue and Rays went passed
the boat, very little tide and really lovely, don't know why we stopped where we
had before accept that there are lots of boats here and 2 boats where we were.
Left in the evening on 15 August for Huahine with
Northern Rose and Mambo. Mambo radio'd that they had engine problems before they
had set off so Pat and Glen reanchored to see if they could help. They ended up
leaving with one engine, advantages of a Cat. We were not far out when the auto
helm stopped working. We ended up helming all night with the engine on as
steering difficult due to tide, waves wind
etc.
