Log from Pete

"Why are all the blog entries from Pete?" I hear my disapointed reader cry. Well Chris is battling with mal de mere. She's not too bad but needs either to be down below with her eyes shut or outside in the cockpit. This precludes blogging or just about anything else for that matter. Hopefully normal service will be resumed shortly.

Needless to say we are now paying for our rash choice of triangle sides. Despite the weather forcast the wind is now firmly set in the West and gusting up to 35 knots. This is not pleasant anywhere in a small boat, but in Biscay it is frankly a bit shit. Short very high waves and a very chaotic motion.

Because of the wind strength and direction, and after a short discussion with Spock, (oh no he's back again!) we have decided to turn further south and now expect to make landfall at Ribadeo. There is a bright side.. the marina and facilities are described as luxurious and the strong wind means we are tanking along and should arrive tomorrow evening.

Sorry for the boring blog; not feeling too witty at present.

201 miles to go.

Might have a curry tonight!
