Good start. Pulled off berth at Soper's Hole to head for fuel berth...went to turn wheel...hmmm...in true aplomb skipperly fashion called out calmly...Genevieve, could you possibly come over and unlock the wheels please with a polite smile. Cast off from fuel beth with half a ton of diesel on, opened throttle...zilcho. Houlihan: Jeez skip might be an idea to start the engine first.
Night one was uneventful. Diet of Spag Bol and fruit.
Morning two conversation with a John as I arrived sharpish at 8 am ish for my 8 am watch:
John: Morning Skip
Me: Morning John
John...I say skip...we seem to have deviated from the course that you set. You know, the one last night when I woke you upat the end of your watch and I began mine.
Me: Well yes, its possible but remember the Bermuda triangle has many deviational and variational doo dahs and thingies, and if the ferral splodgeon of the compass hasnt been pre-treated by anti ET and sub monsterial coatings, there is a chance that even the finest of headings may stray slightly.
john. I didnt know that. Thanks !
So here we are its Wednesday sunny, we are heading into wind, into waves, but Mr Frog the barometer is smiling and has donned his sunglasses so all is well. Hoping to hit...rephrase....find Bermuda Friday Morning.
